Peter Quandt, owner of TLS Landscapes, LLC, has been involved in various aspects
of the landscape industry, primarily residential installations, for over 30 years.
He established the company, Tree and Landscape Specialties, in 1991, and renamed it
TLS Landscapes, in 2003. Starting out with an ‘86 Mazda pickup and a new wheelbarrow,
his concept of landscape creations is simple. With a background in Forestry, he has a natural
affinity with trees. Likewise, he has a similar connection with Mother Earth and strives to
bring the elements of plants, water, stone and fire into his landscape vision.
His basic concept is simple. Install any rock and water features as though they were “naturally occurring”. Work the grade in around the rock as it might have done over many years of wind and rain. Install the plants as though they might have naturally sprung up in the landscape. The overall effect being that “the landscape has always been there, and somewhere along the way someone stuck a house in there”. As if the house is an accent to the landscape, instead of the other way around.
Call us now to see how we can create a landscape, at your home, that beckons you into the environment to enjoy all four seasons.
